The Hope Stone Project
The Hope Stone Project
The Hope Stone Project is a community-funded program created to provide cancer patients with an opportunity to step away from treatments, appointments, and daily stress and spend time creating something with their own hands.
Through the support of local businesses, donors, and community members, the project provides pottery experiences, handmade hope stones, and care packages to individuals facing cancer. Our goal is simple: to offer moments of peace, creativity, connection, and encouragement during a difficult journey.
Pottery is more than art, it can be a form of therapy. The act of shaping clay encourages mindfulness, reduces stress, and provides a healthy outlet for self-expression. For many participants, time spent creating becomes a chance to focus on something other than illness and rediscover a sense of accomplishment and joy.
Participants in the program, known as Hope Stone Scholars, receive access to pottery experiences at Mad Mud Studios along with a handmade Hope Stone - a small reminder that they are not facing their journey alone.
Every donation helps us provide classes, materials, care packages, and support to cancer patients in our community. Together, we can turn simple pieces of clay into symbols of hope, strength, and resilience.
